marked with "star" mark on the ring
It was a direct descendant of the Military Order of Mary Christine (María Cristina) created for the Queen Regent in 1890 and intended to reward military bravery
dying instantly after receiving a shrapnel wound to the head during the attack on Bourlon Wood
when his Long Ranger was under attack for 45 minutes by eight Japanese fighter planes that punctured the B-24 with 84 holes
